About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging After School Instructor to teach our Pottery and Magic program for students in grades K-5. This role involves leading classes from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, from November to December 2026. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in pottery and science-related magic, fostering creativity and learning in a fun and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Experience teaching children, preferably in an after-school setting.
- Knowledge and passion for pottery and science.
- Ability to manage a classroom of K-5 students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be available from November to December 2026.
- Must be available Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-4:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with magic-themed science activities.
- Background in art education or science education.
Responsibilities
- Teach Pottery and Magic classes to students in grades K-5.
- Lead classes Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with program goals.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
