About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Hip Hop Kids Teacher to lead after-school classes for students in grades K-5th. This role involves teaching the fundamentals and joy of hip hop dance in a fun and supportive environment. Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at our Anthony Ave, Bronx, NY 10457 location, running from November to December 2026. The compensation is $75 per hour of class.
Requirements
- Experience teaching hip hop dance.
- Ability to work with children in grades K-5th.
- Availability Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Reliable transportation to the Bronx, NY 10457 location.
- Passion for dance and working with youth.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in after-school programs.
- Knowledge of various hip hop dance styles.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Teach hip hop dance classes to students in grades K-5th.
- Create a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
- Prepare and deliver age-appropriate hip hop dance curriculum.
- Lead classes from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Participate in mini camps or field trips as needed.
