About The Position
The postdoctoral researcher will join Professor Ghassemi’s group and collaborate with Dr. Kundan Thind and colleagues at Henry Ford Health. The role focuses on developing structured representations of 3D anatomy and integrating those representations with AI reasoning models. The researcher will evaluate model performance on radiation therapy planning tasks against text-only and vision-only baselines, analyze uncertainty and failure modes, and prepare research code, documentation, and manuscripts. Requirements
- Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related field, completed by the appointment start date.
- Research experience in machine learning or AI.
- Proficiency in Python and a deep learning framework.
- Experience designing and evaluating computational models.
- Demonstrated scientific writing and collaboration skills.
