We are hiring a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology and Human Genetics Center in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will study molecular etiology of cardiovascular disease using multi-omics approaches. You will have the opportunity to lead research projects and analyze large-scale phenotypic, genomic and multi-omic data in a collaborative setting. The Yu team is interested in discovering novel molecular biomarkers, identifying biological pathways of cardiopulmonary disease, and understanding the disproportionate disease burden in minorities using multi-omic approaches, in collaboration with population-based cohorts i.e., the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study (ARIC), and large consortium i.e., the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium, the Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) program, and the COnsortium of METabolomics Studies (COMETS). The position is funded for 1 year, with a possible extension. What we do here changes the world.
