The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will participate in a research project to develop a new platform for vaccine testing at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. The role involves complex immunological and biological tasks, including antigen uptake and presentation, immune cell activation and differentiation, and in vitro tests to verify tissue-construct viability and function. Research is conducted in a team environment using established protocols and scientific data related to producing tissue-engineered constructs. The fellow will perform immunological protocols, assemble 3D constructs using biofabrication techniques, collect and organize data, and assist with preparing reports and manuscripts. WFIRM is an interdisciplinary institute with a semi-open laboratory concept intended to foster collaboration across research areas. The institute is located in the Richard H. Dean Biomedical Building in Winston-Salem.
