The Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine will participate in a research project developing a new platform for vaccine testing. The fellow will perform complex immunological and biological tasks, including antigen uptake and presentation, immune cell activation and differentiation, and in vitro tests to verify tissue-construct viability and function. Research is conducted in a team environment using established protocols and scientific data related to producing tissue-engineered constructs. The role includes immunological protocols, cell culture and expansion, assembly of 3D constructs using biofabrication techniques, data collection and organization, and assistance with reports and manuscripts. The position is based at WFIRM, an interdisciplinary institute with a semi-open laboratory environment intended to foster collaboration. WFIRM occupies several floors of the Richard H.
