About The Position

This position is for a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the Soil & Crop Sciences department at Texas A&M AgriLife Research. The role involves designing and executing experiments related to soil/plant microbiomes, analyzing data, preparing publications, and mentoring students. Texas A&M AgriLife is a large and comprehensive agriculture program focused on education, research, extension, and service.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in relevant disciplines including but not limited to: Environmental Microbiology, Ecology, Molecular / Systems Biology, Genetics / Genomics, Soil Science, Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Biogeochemistry, Ecotoxicology, Biotechnology, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Bioinformatics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments related to soil/plant microbiomes.
  • Analyze experimental data, write reports, make presentations to group meetings and conferences, prepare manuscripts for publication, contribute to proposal development.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.
  • Develop collaboration on projects and attend professional development trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the PI.
