About The Position

This position is with Texas A&M AgriLife Research, a member of The Texas A&M University System. Texas A&M AgriLife is a large and comprehensive agriculture program focused on education, research, extension, and service. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to research in ecohydrological modeling, drought impacts, and land-atmosphere interactions.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in a field related to the tasks above
  • Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

  • PhD degree in a field related to the tasks above within the broader theme of remote sensing, computer science, or ecology with a quantitative, empirical orientation, and fundamental parts of climate change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ecohydrological modeling for plant water stress and irrigation optimization.
  • Study drought impacts on land-atmosphere interaction.
  • Prepare and publish articles in national/international peer-reviewed scientific journals that highlight findings from the research projects.
  • Present research findings at national/international events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with various, relevant faculty at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research in developing grant proposals for increased future funding, preparing peer-review journal articles, and supervising graduate students, if any.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
