About The Position

The Rosen Research Group at Princeton University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in computational materials science. The role will focus on leveraging and enhancing machine learning interatomic potentials to tackle the complexities of real materials, which are often overlooked in traditional first-principles simulations. The successful candidate will contribute to recent advancements in this field.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, or a closely related field (or expect to have by time of appointment).
  • Interest in computational materials science, specifically machine learning interatomic potentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise with density functional theory.
  • Expertise with molecular dynamics.
  • Expertise with AI model development.
  • Expertise with free energy predictions.
  • Expertise with enhanced sampling methods applied to solid-state materials.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage and augment machine learning interatomic potentials to address complexities of real materials.
  • Apply computational materials science techniques to problems in solid-state materials.
