About The Position

The Meyer Lab in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is currently recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher with skills in both computational and experimental biology to join our team in reimagining how we discover and deploy drug combinations in the clinic. Our work is highly interdisciplinary, integrating high-throughput screening, computational models, and systems biology to elucidate the mechanisms of drug interactions in complex biological systems, with a particular focus on infectious disease.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in pharmacology, microbiology, chemical biology, or a related field.
• Experience designing, executing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative experiments, including high-throughput screens.
• Experience with coding software such as Python, R, and GitHub.
• Strong communication skills.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in biofilm biology.
• Experience in quantitative microscopy.
• Experience in evolution of AMR.

Responsibilities

• Driving an independent research project to make major contributions to the field of systems pharmacology.
• Designing, executing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative experiments, including high-throughput screens.
• Integrating high-throughput screening, computational models, and systems biology to elucidate the mechanisms of drug interactions in complex biological systems.
• Contributing to the institution’s goal of developing cures for catastrophic childhood diseases.
