The Gottschalk Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and creative candidate for a fully supported postdoctoral fellowship developing immune-based therapies. The research project aims to develop T-cell-based therapies for pediatric solid and brain tumors. Studies use genetic engineering to make immune cells cancer-specific and improve their effector function. Genetically modified immune cells are studied in preclinical models, with emphasis on their interactions with tumor cells, the tumor microenvironment, and resident immune cells. The ultimate goal is to translate these approaches into early Phase clinical testing. The postdoctoral fellow will join a collaborative research group committed to a culture of respect and collaboration. The laboratory also prioritizes the success and professional growth of its members.
