About The Position

This posting is for a Part-Time Professor to teach the course ELG4126, Sustainable Electrical Power Systems, during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course covers an introduction to electrical power generation and conditioning, emerging requirements, renewable energy technologies, fundamentals of electrical power systems, and network integration issues. It also delves into the impact of distributed generation on network operation and "Smart Grid" implementation and control. The instructor will be responsible for teaching the course and attending tutorials for at least one hour per week on average.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • A doctorate in a field related to the course, or relevant work experience in a field related to the course after obtaining a Ph.D.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course ELG4126, Sustainable Electrical Power Systems.
  • Attend tutorials at least one hour per week on average.
