The Maze lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate activity-dependent mechanisms of histone monoaminylation, a novel mark discovered by the lab and mediated by transglutaminase enzymes. The research will determine molecular mechanisms contributing to activity-dependent histone monoaminylation in the central nervous system. The work will use biochemical, molecular, genomic, proteomic, and behavioral approaches to study activity-dependent transglutaminase nuclear shuttling, complex binding, and recruitment to chromatin, including the deposition, removal, and exchange of histone monoaminylation.
