About The Position

The Wang lab concentrates on 1) understanding mechanisms of chronic pain and drug addiction, and 2) developing new pharmacological treatments for these conditions. We apply the power of molecular pharmacology, neurobiology, epigenetics, pharmacogenetics, and others in our studies.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in biomedical field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pain, addiction or other neuroscience research preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate record of the experiments suitable for writing manuscripts and grant proposals.
  • Present the results at scientific meetings.
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings, Journal Clubs and common seminars within the Department.
  • Perform bench experiments pertaining to pain, addiction and related topics
  • Perform data analysis
  • Draft reports and manuscripts.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
