About The Position

Carvana is hiring for an entry-level automotive role at its Inspection Center in West Memphis, Arkansas. The posting describes several possible assignments: Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Duties vary by assignment and include cleaning and buffing vehicles, moving vehicles between departments, photographing vehicles, or inspecting vehicles and identifying imperfections and defects. The work takes place in a fast-paced production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees use safety equipment and may be required to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

The starting pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience. Two schedules are offered: first shift, Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m.; or second shift, Monday–Thursday, 4 p.m.–3 a.m. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level employees to support skill and pay progression.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments or equipment.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Pass a complete background check; some positions may also be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
• Be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
• Move vehicles from one department to another in the Inspection Center.
• Photograph vehicles for customer-facing online listings.
• Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
