About The Position
This position is funded to advance our understanding of covalent inactivator drug candidates that target infectious fungal organisms. Newly synthesized compounds produced by the person in this position will be evaluated for efficacy against a variety of fungal organisms.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field
- Excellent synthetic laboratory skills
- Experience synthesizing and characterizing drug candidate molecules
- Published track record of success achieved on a variety of synthesis projects
- Capable of working independently to design, test, and complete new synthesis routes to the target compounds of interest
- Good working knowledge of molecular modeling and docking software
- Detail oriented and have ability to keep organized and accurate records
Responsibilities
- Synthesize newly compounds.
- Evaluate newly synthesized compounds for efficacy against a variety of fungal organisms.
