About The Position

Work as a team member, under general supervision to remove, clean, cut and verify castings in the post cast area. A fulltime Post Cast Operator will be able to proficiently perform a minimum of 3 of the following: Knockout, Low Temp / Autoclave, Cutoff/ Grinding / CNC / Waterblast / Revert Processing, Sandblast/ Expediting/ Vibratory, Acid Etch, Primary Inspection.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• WORKKEYS Tests are REQUIRED to be considered for this position. Testing will be conducted at the La Porte WorkOne office. Required Testing: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents. Candidates MUST pass with a Level 4 or higher on ALL tests.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• Good manual dexterity
• Visual requirements for this position are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Accurate labor reporting.
• Verify quality of work (work tolerance, recognize defects).
• Remove excess gating.

Nice To Haves

• Able to demonstrate 2 years of full-time continuous work experience with the same employer OR 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Lifting, reading, forklift driving.
• Understanding of Computers (basic hardware and software).
• Use of hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.

• Capable of doing multiple tasks.
• Calibrated measurements of chemicals.
• Ability to become a certified operator (ie: autoclave, etch, alloy verification).

• Read and interpret PWI (work instructions).
