About The Position

This position is for an Hourly Production Xray Operator. The role involves functioning as a member of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring basic computer knowledge and the ability to maintain quality standards. The operator will be responsible for various NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) processes related to X-ray equipment and product verification.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • WORKKEYS Tests are REQUIRED to be considered for this position. Testing will be conducted at the La Porte WorkOne office. Required Testing: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents. Candidates MUST pass with a Level 4 or higher on ALL tests.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
  • Function as a member of a team and work under general supervision.
  • Work and function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain expected quality levels.
  • Product verification.
  • Documentation verification.
  • Ensure NDT processes for product criteria are met.
  • Monitor X-Ray equipment and all related functions.
  • Prioritize and coordinate product workflow through NDT processes.
  • Ensure product and documentation matches.
  • Check process documentation for proper technique.
  • Process product per technique.
  • Setup product to be x-rayed per technique.
  • X-Ray.
  • Develop and package film to be read.
  • Monitor equipment operation during process.
  • Monitor film processing.
  • Restock film in darkroom.
  • Refilling developer and fixer tanks.
  • Clean film processor as required.
  • Fill Cassettes with clean film.
  • Cut film into special sizes.
  • Organize film at film table.
  • Repair torn cassettes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work environment.
  • Interface with Level II for technical guidance pertaining to manufacturing for NDT issues.
  • Assist Level II in training Level I candidates.
  • Performs material handling.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as needed.
