About The Position

Emory Healthcare is seeking a full-time Geriatrician to join their academic geriatrics program. This role will focus on delivering high-quality post-acute and long-term care in community-based sites within metro Atlanta. The position involves a team-based model that combines clinical care, teaching, innovation, and a strong emphasis on improving outcomes for medically complex patients. The goal is to provide a distinct clinical service with meaningful continuity of care and a direct impact on patient recovery and quality of life.

Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Geriatrics (preferred), FM or IM.
Experience in complex care management.
Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

Provide full-time clinical care in 1-2 community sites with an average patient census of 11-13/day.
Manage a mix of post-acute care including admits, transitions of care, and discharge planning.
Provide long-term primary care including consults, referrals and medication management.
Work in a collegial environment with a strong team culture and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Deliver high-quality post-acute and long-term care.
Work with geriatrics fellows, FM and IM residents, and medical students.
Participate in research including collaborations with Emory specialists and colleagues at the CDC.
Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
