About The Position

Emory Healthcare is seeking a full-time Geriatrician to join their academic geriatrics program. This role will focus on delivering high-quality post-acute and long-term care in community-based sites within metro Atlanta. The position involves a team-based model that combines clinical care, teaching, innovation, and a strong emphasis on improving outcomes for medically complex patients. The goal is to provide a distinct clinical service with meaningful continuity of care and a direct impact on patient recovery and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Geriatrics (preferred), FM or IM.
  • Experience in complex care management.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time clinical care in 1-2 community sites with an average patient census of 11-13/day.
  • Manage a mix of post-acute care including admits, transitions of care, and discharge planning.
  • Provide long-term primary care including consults, referrals and medication management.
  • Work in a collegial environment with a strong team culture and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Deliver high-quality post-acute and long-term care.
  • Work with geriatrics fellows, FM and IM residents, and medical students.
  • Participate in research including collaborations with Emory specialists and colleagues at the CDC.
  • Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
