About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a Brazilian Portuguese Teacher for a client in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This is a one-to-one, general course with a total of 22 hours, with sessions lasting two hours each. The student is a beginner, aged 35-44, and is motivated to practice speaking Brazilian Portuguese for an upcoming trip to Rio de Janeiro. The lessons will take place at the trainer's office. The schedule is somewhat flexible, with preferred times on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The position is freelance and part-time.

Requirements

• Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 20 miles of Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55104.
• Ability to provide CV with references.
• Provide availability.
• Provide earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one Brazilian Portuguese lessons to a beginner student.
• Conduct lessons at the trainer's office in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
• Adapt teaching to the student's motivation for practicing speaking skills.
• Manage a schedule of twice-weekly sessions, adhering to preferred time slots.
