Mindrift is recruiting native Portuguese speakers who grew up in Portugal and currently live in New York City to participate in a paid, in-person research study in Midtown Manhattan. The study examines how people use phones, apps, and everyday digital tools, and how those experiences differ across languages and cultures. Participants will spend 1–3 days with the research team, demonstrate how they use their phones and favorite apps in daily life, share examples of everyday phone activity (with control over what is included), and complete a short questionnaire about their habits. Participation is voluntary, covered by a signed consent form, and participants may ask questions or stop at any time. The posting specifies availability for three consecutive days, either Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday, starting October 16 on Friday. Applicants register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire; session dates are confirmed after shortlisting.
