Mindrift is recruiting native German speakers who grew up in Austria and currently live in New York City for a paid, in-person research study in Midtown Manhattan. The study explores how people use phones, apps, and everyday digital tools across languages and cultures. Participants will spend 1–3 days with the research team, demonstrate how they use their phone and favorite apps in daily life, share examples of everyday phone activity they choose to include, and complete a short questionnaire. Participation is voluntary and covered by a signed consent form; participants may ask questions at any point and stop whenever they like. The posting describes a three-day study paying $1,200–$1,600 for the full study. Sessions are available on consecutive days, either Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday, starting October 16 on Friday. Applicants register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire; session dates are confirmed after shortlisting.
