About The Position
Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Fee for Service Portuguese Interpreter to join their team. This role focuses on assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing written and verbal interpretation services for the pediatric population (children birth to 3 years) and their families. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- Fluent in Portuguese/English.
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual in Portuguese/English required.
- Ability to interpret written materials in the pursuit of service delivery (via text or email).
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to meet the required competency level in Microsoft Office Software.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
- Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
