About The Position

American Operator is seeking an experienced operator to lead a profitable and established fence contracting company as CEO, in partnership with American Operator. This role offers a unique opportunity to take over a business with a strong reputation, loyal customer base, and an experienced team. The CEO will be responsible for day-to-day operations, team leadership, and P&L performance, focusing on team development, customer acquisition, operational discipline, and scaling the business. American Operator will provide strategic support and resources, while the CEO will have a clear path to significant equity ownership.

Requirements

10+ years of leadership experience with at least 4 years of direct fencing field crew oversight
Track record of leading and growing a contracting company performing repair work
Experience with chain link fence installation and fabrication
California C-13 contracting license
Ability to pass a background check for public sector work
Currently located in or a willingness to relocate to San Bernardino

Responsibilities

Grow the business with a focus on project excellence, team success, and key performance metrics as you lead all business day-to-day operations
Build and lead a proactive sales and estimating function to convert strong local demand and referral flow into disciplined, profitable growth across residential, commercial, and public-sector customers
Lead a long-tenured leadership and field team to deliver consistent, high quality service across every account
Partner with American Operator on strategy, budgeting, and growth planning
