About The Position

American Operator is seeking an experienced operator to lead a profitable, established residential roofing business as CEO in partnership with American Operator. This role offers a unique opportunity to step into a business with a strong reputation, referral network, and an experienced team. The CEO will be responsible for day-to-day operations, team leadership, and P&L performance, focusing on team development, customer acquisition, operational discipline, and scaling the business. American Operator will provide strategic support and resources, with a clear path to significant equity ownership.

Requirements

10+ years of leadership experience with at least 4 years in residential or commercial construction
Track record of leading and growing a home services business in a competitive industry
Strong P&L management skills with experience managing insurance billing, collections, and cash flow
Experience estimating commercial and/or residential roofing systems

Nice To Haves

Currently hold or can immediately obtain a roofing license in a local Colorado municipality
Managed a subcontracted labor crew with reliable production outcomes
Built an effective outbound sales team in the roofing industry
Military leadership experience

Responsibilities

Grow the business with a focus on key performance metrics as you lead all day-to-day operations of the business
Oversee and participate in the estimating and bidding process to ensure that the business is winning projects profitably
Manage and lead the sales, production, service, and office staff with accountability
Ensure crews deliver consistent, high quality service to every customer
Win new accounts and expand existing ones through enhancements, local relationships, and disciplined estimating
Partner with American Operator on strategy, budgeting, and growth planning
