Porter roles at Stop and Shop involve maintaining store cleanliness, assisting with customer service, and supporting daily operations in a variety of departments. Job Purpose Porters are responsible for keeping the store environment clean, organized, and customer-friendly. They may be assigned to front-end or back-end duties depending on store needs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax floors, and clean restrooms, break rooms, and workstations
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with store protocols
• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner; address inquiries and concerns when appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas, including aisles and storage spaces
• Follow safety guidelines, communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, and assist in other duties as needed
• May be required to move between departments or assist in different areas
