About The Position

The Porter is responsible for the overall upkeep of the landscape and the interior and exterior image of the community. This is a customer-service-driven, team-oriented role that reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and has no direct reports. Duties are an outline and may be modified as community needs change.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, professional, and OSHA-approved work environment.
• Keep the property litter-free and assist with unit trash-outs.
• Deliver notices, report time and attendance, and conduct daily community inspections.
• Understand and follow Landmark Properties policies and procedures.
• Understand residents’ needs and expectations and work to exceed them.
• Help develop a sense of community among residents and staff, maintain a positive community environment, and encourage participation in events and activities.
• Assist with the property’s turn.
• Understand, communicate, and enforce community safety, emergency, and fire evacuation policies and procedures; provide emergency response and referral services and resources.
• Document and report resident behavior that violates the law or community lease agreement to the Community Manager.
• Inspect the property’s physical condition and report problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
