About The Position
The Porter is a member of the store team responsible for maintaining buildings and facilities in a clean, sanitary condition according to TravelCenters of America standards. The role helps provide customers with a pleasant environment and supports the company’s goal of returning every traveler to the road better than they came. The position involves cleaning facility areas as directed, following safety and security procedures, using protective equipment, and knowing which types and quantities of cleaning supplies are needed for assignments. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to perform the described physical demands, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide guests with a clean, sanitary environment.
- Follow safety and security guidelines and procedures; identify and report potentially unsafe situations involving team members or guests, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Wear and use protective equipment properly and safely.
- Know the quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
