About The Position

The part-time Porter assists with in-store execution and customer service, including handling merchandise transfers. The role maintains store cleanliness and organization, supports facilities upkeep and advertising displays, and helps customers with greetings, phone calls, and loading merchandise. The Porter may travel to other stores or clearance centers as needed and must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, sales floors, and windows by dusting, mopping, sweeping, and washing.
• Keep pillows and Protect-A-Beds stocked and organized.
• Assist with displaying advertisements.
• Maintain and organize clearance centers and/or stores.
• Perform general facilities maintenance.
• Unload transfers and place them in designated areas with proper bagging.
• Travel to other stores or clearance centers as needed.
• Greet customers in a timely manner.
• Assist with answering the phone as needed.
• Load customer merchandise and secure it if desired.
