About The Position

Planned Companies Building Services is hiring a friendly, detail-oriented Porter Janitorial worker to provide common-area and bathroom cleaning services at a residential and commercial property in Newark, New Jersey. The role helps maintain a clean, healthy, and safe property for tenants, guests, and vendors. Employees are expected to be polite, respectful, thorough, and observant in identifying ways to provide a high level of service.

The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., with a Wednesday-to-Saturday schedule change twice a month. Pay is $16.50 per hour. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary benefits. All employees may participate in the company 401(k) plan with an employer match.

Requirements

• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment to clean floors and carpets.
• Ability to work on a team and independently when needed.
• Strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors of various types.
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows.
• Request cleaning supply orders and report breakages and needed repairs.
• Assist building management with projects and perform other job duties as requested.
