About The Position
The Porter/Janitor maintains facilities and grounds in clean, safe, and play-ready condition. The role performs inspections, landscaping, cleaning, supply replenishment, trash removal, and basic maintenance reporting. It also supports storm preparedness and recovery, special tasks, and other assigned duties. Work takes place indoors and outdoors.
Requirements
- Experience working with cleaning products and chemicals.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to operate equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work safely and effectively with cleaning products and chemicals.
Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities regularly for maintenance needs, safety hazards, and landscaping requirements.
- Perform landscaping duties.
- Keep areas safe and clean by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
- Monitor and replenish supplies.
- Clean bathrooms.
- Immediately report maintenance needs and hazards to a supervisor.
- Complete maintenance checklists.
- Assist with storm preparedness and recovery tasks.
- Remove trash, operate the trash compactor safely, and keep its area clean.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect guests and employees.
- Assist with special tasks and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
