About The Position
PCP, a multifamily development company focused on land acquisition, development, and long-term holdings in high-growth lifestyle markets, is seeking a Porter / Janitor to ensure the cleanliness of the property. The role maintains the property grounds, management office, landscaping, mail rooms, pool area, vacant apartments, and common areas. It also supports apartment make-readies and the maintenance team, performs light repairs and painting, and maintains cleaning-product inventory. The position is full-time and may require assisting with after-hours emergencies when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or janitorial work is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the property each morning and pick up litter to keep the property, management office, and landscaping clean.
- Keep mail rooms clean by picking up trash, sweeping floors, and removing dated notices from bulletin boards.
- Replace lightbulbs in common areas and breezeways as needed.
- Replace first-floor window screens upon request.
- Assist with apartment make-readies, including removing trash from vacant units, caulking, checking appliances and smoke detectors, and replacing parts.
- Clean air-conditioning vents and replace filters in vacant apartments.
- Install, move, and connect appliances.
- Replace air filters in occupied apartments on schedule.
- Clean the pool area by hosing it down, picking up trash, and straightening chairs.
- Perform light painting duties as directed.
- Clean vacant apartments between residents.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician as requested.
- Vacuum, mop, clean windows, remove trash, clean appliances, and dust in common areas.
- Stock and maintain an inventory of cleaning products.
- Keep the community exterior clean and free of debris.
- Operate a floor-buffing machine.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Assist with after-hours emergencies when necessary.
