Porter / Janitor
About The Position
The Porter / Janitor performs early-morning floor and carpet cleaning and responds to other maintenance requests at The Ridge Senior Living. The role helps maintain clean, sanitary resident apartments and community spaces, and supports residents and team members by preparing rooms for move-ins and completing detailed cleaning assignments. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with some flexibility in hours. The Ridge Senior Living describes itself as a boutique family of luxury senior living communities in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lakewood, Colorado. Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of resident apartments and community common areas.
- Dust and polish furniture; wash and disinfect countertops and sink areas; mop and disinfect bathrooms and floors; and vacuum carpeted areas.
- Perform detailed cleaning of residents’ homes and prepare empty rooms for move-ins.
- Launder linens, draperies, and residents’ personal clothing within the assigned service area.
- Complete detailed cleaning assignments as directed.
- Deliver clean personal items to the appropriate resident.
- Shampoo carpets and clean tile and hard floors.
- Perform pre-move-in and post-move-out cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
