About The Position

The Porter / Janitor helps maintain clean and sanitary resident apartments and common areas at The Ridge Senior Living. The role includes cleaning and disinfecting resident homes and community spaces, preparing vacant rooms for move-ins, laundering linens and residents’ personal clothing, and delivering clean personal items to residents. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with some flexibility in hours possible. Responsibilities

Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of resident apartments and community common areas.
Dust and polish furniture; wash and disinfect countertops and sink areas; mop and disinfect bathrooms and floors; and vacuum carpeted areas.
Perform detailed cleaning of residents’ homes and prepare vacant rooms for move-ins.
Launder linens, draperies, and residents’ personal clothing within the assigned service area.
Perform detailed cleaning assignments as directed.
Deliver clean personal items to the appropriate residents.
Shampoo carpets and clean tile and hard floors.
Perform pre-move-in and post-move-out cleaning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
