About The Position

The Janitor/Porter works directly under the Riverwalk Heights property at 430 Main Street. The role maintains the cleanliness and general upkeep of the building and grounds, provides customer service to residents, and may perform light maintenance and other assigned projects. The schedule is Sunday and Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with Friday and Saturday off. The employee may be required to be on call as needed.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience.
• Reliability and experience working with cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work as a team player and with little supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an 8-hour shift.

• Light maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms by mopping, sweeping, stripping, waxing and buffing floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.
• Perform light maintenance as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Maintain the general upkeep of the buildings and grounds.
• Perform snow removal and landscaping.
• Keep equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
