About The Position

The Porter/Dishwasher performs simple manual work to maintain a clean and orderly bakery. The position is responsible for upholding the organization’s core values and mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity and standards. Duties include cleaning and organizing the bakery, handling supplies and deliveries, and maintaining the bakery’s interior and exterior grounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and organize equipment, including dishes, pots, pans, tools, utensils, tables, chairs, and grease traps.
• Maintain neat working areas and employee and customer bathrooms.
• Keep bakery supplies organized and tidy.
• Assist with putting away and organizing food, paper, and other supply deliveries.
• Maintain bakery grounds inside and out by sweeping and mopping floors, breaking down cardboard boxes, emptying trash cans, taking out recycling, and cleaning windows, doors, walls, floor boards, moldings, and base boards.
• Transport food and other products or items from storage rooms daily.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies.
