About The Position

The Cook is a key member of the restaurant team, responsible for preparing and presenting quality food to guests. The role includes working in a customer-service-focused environment and helping provide travelers with a positive dining experience. Cooks prepare ingredients, set up and operate grill, fryer, and broiler stations, prepare food to guest specifications, and follow food-safety, storage, and presentation standards. They also maintain equipment, complete required checklists, prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs, and communicate with leaders and coworkers. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
Set up broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets.
Prepare products to guest specifications and follow plate presentation guides.
Complete prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
Follow safe food handling and storage practices and waste-control procedures.
Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
Maintain equipment according to operating standards.
Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
