About The Position

The Seasonal Pool Server plays a vital role in delivering a high-end, luxury poolside experience during the summer season. This position is responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and professional food, beverage, and guest service at the resort pool while ensuring all service and cleanliness standards are maintained. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, energetic, and enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food & beverage or guest service preferred.
  • CPR or lifeguard certification is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures in hospitality environments is beneficial
  • Enthusiastic, guest-focused, and comfortable engaging with a luxury clientele.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy outdoor environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a polished, professional presence.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours).
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance food trays and beverage items up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and moving throughout the pool deck.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying summer weather conditions, including heat and sun exposure.
  • Must be able to navigate crowded areas safely while carrying items.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and courteous food, beverage and water service to poolside guests.
  • Maintain full knowledge of proper service etiquette and adhere to all BRMR service standards.
  • Comply with liquor laws and all company policies regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
  • Assist with beverage preparation and garnishing when needed.
  • Stay up to date on all pool menu items, including daily specials offered at the pool or in Overlook.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Overlook and On the Rocks menus (lunch and dinner) to answer guest questions and provide recommendations and drive sales through effective upselling.
  • Stock poolside service stations with necessary items including paper goods, and service ware at the start of the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including guest tables, chairs, cabanas, and walkways.
  • Adjust umbrellas and reposition lounge chairs per guest request.
  • Clear and reset tables and lounge chairs after guest use, including removal of dishware and trash.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as outlined on the side duty checklist.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency protocols including CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and fire evacuation procedures.
  • Attend scheduled team meetings and seasonal training sessions.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to exceptional guest service and teamwork throughout the summer season.
