About The Position

This role is responsible for greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring accuracy with requests and substitutions. The Pool Server must be knowledgeable about menu items, including ingredients and common dietary restrictions. They will pre and post bus tables, maintain a clean dining area, and accurately receive payments. Additionally, the role involves performing opening/closing and side work duties, preparing food items such as appetizers, sides, and desserts, and assisting other servers. The Pool Server is also responsible for ensuring equipment is in good working order and supplies are adequate, reporting any necessary repairs or orders. Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of their station and service areas is crucial. The position requires adherence to service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety standards, as well as following safety and security procedures. Working cohesively with co-workers and other departments as part of a team is essential, along with following all appropriate policies and procedures while striving to improve operations. Adherence to attendance and reliability standards, and performing additional duties as assigned by management are also required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis.
  • Safety requirements of PPE as needed for duty assigned and with use of required tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up.
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state food safety guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
