About The Position

Neal Communities is hiring a Pool Estimator for Waterscape’s Pools & Spas, part of the Neal Communities family. The role prepares accurate, comprehensive takeoffs and budgets for the pool division, purchases materials, supports selection of trade partners, and manages costs within established budgets while maintaining quality standards. The position also supports the organization’s mission and vision through excellence and competence, collaboration and innovation, respect, commitment to the community, accountability, and ownership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and cost analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Business, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in residential construction estimating, purchasing, construction operations, or a related field.
• Experience with Newstar or similar homebuilding ERP or estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and accurate quantity takeoffs for assigned plans.
• Establish and monitor budgets for each phase of construction.
• Identify cost-saving techniques, materials, and procedures that maintain required quality standards.
• Perform requested cost comparisons and analyses.
• Update the pricing file to keep cost information accurate and current.
• Monitor budgets, estimate the cost and impact of changes, and update applicable budgets and cost information accordingly.
• Enter estimating, purchasing, and cost information into Newstar accurately and promptly.
• Purchase materials and support the selection of trade partners.
