About The Position

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the pool area, promoting a positive guest experience, and responding to emergencies. This role involves cleaning the pool deck, observing guest activities, enforcing facility rules, assisting guests, and managing towels. The attendant must also report safety concerns, complete required training, and adhere to company policies and standards. Additionally, the role requires interacting professionally with guests and colleagues, handling various visual and computer-based tasks, and performing physical duties such as lifting, carrying, and manipulating objects, as well as navigating different surfaces and performing fine motor tasks.

Requirements

  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Fitness Equipment certification/training (if applicable)
  • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
  • Be aware of situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
  • Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
