The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean and enjoyable pool environment for guests. This includes washing, mopping, and cleaning the pool deck, as well as promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The attendant must observe activity in the recreational facility, respond to emergencies according to procedure, and enforce facility rules and regulations. They are expected to identify situations where guests cannot safely participate in activities and inform management, and provide assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive. Other duties include managing towels, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, and adhering to company policies regarding appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection. The role also involves welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and maintaining professional communication and positive working relationships. Quality assurance, visual inspection of equipment, and using computer/POS systems are also part of the job. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, fine motor skills, moving on various surfaces, and reaching.
