About The Position

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the outdoor and indoor pool areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and enjoyable for guests. This role involves managing supplies, addressing safety concerns, performing daily cleaning duties, and interacting with guests. The position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the business needs of the pool, which is common in the hospitality industry.

Requirements

Must enjoy working with a team in an outdoor environment with extreme temperatures.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing a minimum of 75 pounds.
Ability to walk or stand for caring lengths of time, sometimes for extended periods of 6+ hours.
Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking.
Some knowledge of pool systems.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Previous guest services experience helpful.
Previous experience with pool systems helpful.

Nice To Haves

CPR Certification and / or First Aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain proper and adequate supplies in the pool area and report necessary maintenance for equipment to the direct manager.
Proactively handle all safety issues in or around the pool area, including the Jacuzzi, hideaway, and restroom area.
Complete daily cleaning duties such as emptying trash, restocking and laundering towels, and cleaning the pool as appropriate.
Transport towel bins to and from the Laundry room.
Take guest orders for Servers if guests desire service.
Possess knowledge of Pool hours and activities.
Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and colleagues.
Effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
