About The Position

The Pool and Beach Server at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai provides attentive food and beverage service in an active outdoor environment. The role shapes the guest experience by sharing knowledge of the resort and its offerings, delivering service consistent with the resort’s Forbes 5 Star standards, and exemplifying the Golden Rule in every interaction. The server greets guests, introduces themselves, provides a QR code or menu, and uses guest names during service. They describe menu items, take and communicate orders using the resort’s Micros system, coordinate service timing, deliver orders, and follow up on quality and guest satisfaction. The server also manages and stocks their designated area, processes guest payments, completes closing paperwork, and tips out food runners and bar staff. Weekend and holiday availability is required. The position requires legal work authorization in the United States and a Tuberculosis clearance card when working in food and beverage.

Requirements

Three to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience.
Legal work authorization in the United States.
Obtain a Tuberculosis (TB) clearance card as required by the Hawaii State Department of Health for food and beverage work.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Ability to stand for long periods in an active outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

Proactively greet guests, provide a QR code or menu, introduce yourself as their server for the day, and use guest names during interactions.
Accurately describe pool service hours, offerings, and daily specials.
Describe food and beverage menu items, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods.
Communicate guest orders and special requests to the kitchen or bar using the resort’s Micros system.
Coordinate food and beverage service timing and deliver items within proper timing standards.
Check previously delivered items to ensure order quality.
Anticipate guest needs, suggest ways to enhance their experience, and respond promptly and appropriately to requests and concerns.
Manage the designated section and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Clean, organize, and fully stock the assigned area each day.
Accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, and settle voided checks and complimentary meals.
Complete closing paperwork and accurately tip out the appropriate food runner and bar staff.
Provide service that meets Forbes 5 Star expectations and learn and maintain the Pool and Beach 38 Forbes standards.
Work as part of a team with guest experience as a priority.
