About The Position

Major Food Group is hiring a Polisher to join the team at Carbone, an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick. Carbone pays homage to mid-20th-century New York Italian-American restaurants while drawing on contemporary culinary techniques and talents.

The Polisher stocks and receives restaurant supplies, polishes glasses and silverware, replenishes dining-room items and service stations, and folds napkins and prepares extra place settings. Daytime and overnight schedules are available; open availability is required.

Requirements

• Minimum 0–1 years of experience working in the service industry.
• Dependable, hard-working, and punctual.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability is required; daytime and overnight schedules are available.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, racks, tables, and service stations with new or transferred supplies.
• Receive, open, unpack, and stock restaurant supplies.
• Polish all glasses and silverware used in the dining room.
• Restock the dining room with china, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and linen, and maintain adequate supplies at work stations while the dining room is open.
• Fold napkins and make extra place settings.
