About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a Polish language tutor for a client in Burlington, ON. This is a freelance, part-time, one-to-one general Polish course. The total hours are 24, with 12 sessions of 2 hours each. The sessions can take place at the teacher's office/home or a central public location in Burlington, ON. The student is a 65-year-old gentleman who is a beginner and wishes to learn Polish to better understand his wife and their upcoming trip to Poland. The schedule is once per week, on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, after 9:30 am and before 5 pm. The start date is September 2, 2026. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. The hourly rate is negotiable.
Requirements
- Native Polish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 km of Burlington, ON.
- Submit CV with references (if available).
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Polish language tutoring to a beginner student.
- Conduct 12 sessions of 2 hours each, totaling 24 hours.
- Adapt teaching methods to the student's motivation and beginner level.
- Potentially meet at the teacher's home/office or a central public location in Burlington, ON.
- Be available to teach on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm.
