About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Latin language tutor for one of our clients in San Antonio, TX. This is a one-to-one, specific purpose course with a total of 50 hours, consisting of 25 two-hour sessions. The sessions will take place at the student's office in San Antonio, TX 78201. The student is an 18-24 year old gentleman with a beginner's level in Latin, motivated by research in medieval Franciscan sources. The ideal schedule is twice per week, ideally on Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday, between 10 am and 3 pm. The course is expected to start as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Be a native Latin speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of San Antonio, TX 78201.
- Be able to submit a CV with references.
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
- Meet stated conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Latin language training to a beginner student.
- Conduct 25 two-hour sessions.
- Travel to the student's office in San Antonio, TX 78201 for sessions.
- Adapt teaching methods to the student's specific motivation for research in medieval Franciscan sources.
