About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance German language teacher for a private student in San Diego, CA. This is a part-time, general German course with a total of 110 hours, consisting of 55 two-hour sessions. The lessons will be conducted one-to-one, ideally twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays in the afternoon. The location can be at the teacher's office/home or a public place in San Diego. The student is an intermediate adult learner who wants to improve fluency for family visits to Germany. The position is freelance and part-time, with a negotiable hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. The start date is as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Native German speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of the specified location in San Diego, CA.
- Ability to provide CV with references.
- Availability for the specified schedule (ideally Tuesday and Friday afternoons).
- Earliest possible start date.
- Must meet stated conditions (e.g., work authorization).
Responsibilities
- Provide customized German language training to an adult intermediate student.
- Conduct one-to-one lessons, twice a week (ideally Tuesday and Friday afternoons).

- Adapt schedule and location based on mutual availability.
