The Department of Economic Security (DES), Child and Community Services Division (CCSD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Policy Analyst. This position will be responsible for developing and drafting DES division administrative and operational policies and procedures applicable to the Child and Community Services Division. The role involves monitoring changes in Federal and State legislation, identifying impacts on current policies, and ensuring policies remain current and relevant. The Policy Analyst will consult with the Policy Manager, CCSD policy staff, subject matter experts (SME), and other partner DES agencies and personnel when drafting or revising policies and procedures. The position also involves revising policies based on changes to statutes, regulations, rules, and the needs of DES and the division, as well as implementing new or revised policies and procedures. The Policy Analyst will work with and train managers and staff on proper implementation, answer questions regarding policies, and participate in cross-divisional and agency-wide special projects. This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures.
