We help develop local, renewable energy and clean energy solutions to create new economic opportunities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and save people money on their energy bills. The Department promotes sustainable development and manages onshore and offshore energy resources through legislation, regulations, and cross-jurisdictional partnerships. Our work also includes marine and environmental science, energy storage solutions, geothermal, and environmental conservation and protection. We are seeking a Policy Analyst to join our team. This is a key position within the Marine Renewables Division responsible for providing support to the Department's efforts to develop tidal and offshore wind energy resources. As the Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for administering programs and contributing to projects related to marine renewable energy. The Policy Analyst is responsible for administering the Marine Renewable-energy Act and its regulations and the administration of the tidal energy license and permit program. They work collaboratively as a member of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, and with other provincial partners and external stakeholders. This position also provides support in broader areas of marine renewable energy research and development.
